Charles Wade Barkley (born February 20, ) is an American former professional basketball player.
Nicknamed "Sir Charles" for his aggressive and outspoken behavior, and "The Round Mound of Rebound" for his unusual build and talent as a player, Barkley established himself as one of the National Basketball Association's (NBA) most dominating power forwards.
For a power forward, Barkley had an extremely versatile offensive game.
He was not considered a great player at the defensive end. He is referred to as Chuck Barkley by many of his friends.
