Nitish Kumar was born on 1 March in  Bakhtiarpur, Bihar to Kaviraj Ram Lakhan Singh (Father) and Parmeshwari Devi (Mother).

On 22 February , Nitish Kumar tied the knot with Manju Kumari Sinha.
