Speaking to (Philippine Entertainment Portal) via Instagram direct message on June 1, , Nikka fondly recalls the days she used to live with her mom, grandma, and great-grandma.

The wife of Patrick Garcia says, "I lived with them in one house before I moved in with Patrick.

"Back then, we were only 4 generations of women and I tell you, it was A LOT of fun being under one roof with my mom, my grandma and my great-grandma.

Nikka recalls a time when her daughters were asking for something.

"I said no to [it]," she says.

"Of course, they ran to my mom and asked her instead. She said yes even though I said no.

"Obviously, her decision overpowered mine.

"I know that my mom has only the best of intentions and, because we have such a close relationship, I simply pulled her aside, told her how I felt, and she reassured and secured me.

"She allows me to grow and she respects my decisions, especially when it comes to my children.

"But of course, she always gives her suggestions and insights, which I appreciate.

"After all, they are HER grandchildren also."

Nikka adds that it is about respecting each other&#;s point of view while standing by your own beliefs.

The mother of three reiterates, "If ever I don&#;t agree, I respectfully tell them yet consider everything they&#;ve imparted with me.

"I decide and they support me no matter what.

"That&#;s what makes my family special and close to my heart.

Being open and honest is highly encouraged no matter what your age is."

Nikka sees her mother figures as sources of wisdom.

"To be honest, I learn a lot from them," she remarks.

"Each time we converse, there&#;s a lot of precious gems found in their stories that I wish I carried a notebook each time so I can jot down all the insights I get from them.

"My great-grandma, my grandma, and my mom are all Born-again Christians.

"Three of them have a relationship with God that is so beautiful and personal, it gravitates towards me and even my girls.

"I think that that&#;s the greatest thing I have learned from them.

"I experience the love of God through them."

"From my great-grandma, she taught me to ALWAYS PRAY.

"Everything and anything, pray!

"From my grandma/nuna, she taught me that in life, sometimes, you just need to decide once, live by that decision, and manage daily.

"From my mom, she taught me to have balance and view things in different perspectives.
